The Son's Room is the movie that you want to see. The fear of pain, a pain so great and incomprehensible
as the loss of a child, almost a-priori
away the audience. Yet there is something deeply therapeutic
in this tragic film that seems to be subdued and hidden page
diary of a very private and that something is inevitably linked to the tortuous route that
psychologists call "mourning." The unity of the family, the sweet
complicity between husband and wife and between parents and children are suddenly immobilized by the cold as
arrival of death, which turns the fireplace
home in a sort of icy nativity scene. Before death was just desperately
Moretti seems to say, the inner pain does not recognize similar
outside of itself. Someone spoke of The Son's Room
as a work on the pain that divides the court and there certainly seems
share. It 's like if everyone lost something else, as if everyone, or more than
than losing a son or brother, Andrew, lost image,
own personal picture of Andrea. The reason, perhaps complex, but plausible, is confirmed by a small digression before the yellow
disgrace. Father, mother and sister are trying to figure out whether it really was Andrew
responsible for the theft of a fossil (still the idea of \u200b\u200bimmobility that

everyone feels orphaned. The Son's Room, however, it looks and
receive with your heart and always choked with emotion that gives little space to the coldness

no explanation. And it is the father-psychologist played by Moretti,
fact, sadly the first to raise the white flag. The return
obsessively about the circumstances that would have avoided the infinitesimal
son's death on his mind works like a silent cancer. His pain is so absorbing and exclusive
to stifle the ability to remember almost,
the only thing, in hindsight, of which death can not deprive us. A show
psychologist at the exit from the dark labyrinth is a letter sent
too late for Andrea from a clear-eyed young man named Arianna. The wire leads
Arianna's family from the waters of the Adriatic, that of tragedy,
the sea that unites and divides, Italy and France. On a deserted beach where

The Son's Room is a masterpiece of Moretti-director,
we are content to believe that it is the most important film of the man-Moretti.
