Wade Porter is a family man , with a promising future, who lives in a nice house with his girlfriend Laura and the son of five years.
One night, a thief Porter is introduced into the house and Wade, in an attempt to protect the family, hit him during the escape with a baseball bat, injuring him fatally. Accused of manslaughter, was sentenced to three years in prison. In prison, Wade is forced to endure the harassment of the other prisoners and guards, and deal with a violent and corrupt society in which the rules are not applicable anymore.
