PLOT:

A barber jew, a veteran of the First World War, he returned to Germania.La found under the dictatorship of Adenoid Hynkel. The barber is imprisoned in a concentration camp, but, thanks to the similarity with Heinkel, can replace the dictator. And the address to the nation, instead of declaring war oyster, will have as its object a call for world peace.

INTRODUCTION:

As I wrote in the presentation of the blog I will not criticize films recently released in theaters or contemporary films, but I want to create something highly heterogeneous and that is why I speak a film belonging to the modern American cinema that is 'The Great Dictator'.

REVIEW:

Everybody knows Charlie Chaplin, but perhaps few know his life and the different religious and political difficulties he was forced to face around 40 years, during which the schemes right (But not only) had pledged to wage war in the different 'corners' of the world of intolerance and fear became a reality more real. 'The Great Dictator' is a fantastic box sequences, images, symbols and meanings that will affect not only all the modern and contemporary cinema, but will also lead to the creation of a true film-symbol of the anxieties and horrors of those years. When you watch a Chaplin film, then, must go beyond the simple picture film and everything is repeatedly stressed by the director, directly addressing the camera (thus the viewer) and out of Consequently the typical dynamics of the gaze , that are typical of cinema.

I see this film (obviously along with others of the same actor-director) is a masterpiece, but also a manifesto of what Chaplin has made throughout his career and that is the famous character Charlot (character victim of alienation, satirical and hard with the world but especially with himself), who through his analytical mind, he introduced the really deep meanings and hypertrophy, despite the silent films of the time (remember that ' The Great Dictator 'is not a silent film, but Chaplin was one of the few not to be). What else to add to this great film? Well is a film that simply is unprecedented and it really is a 'point of no return''in the history of cinema.

Finally I invite everyone to not only watch this film which is very pleasant and enjoyable, but also to listen very carefully to the final speech which serves as a sort of plot twist well thought out and that is configured as a veritable ode to peace that leaves the viewer feeling very special and profound nature that makes you forget the 'comedy' film.
